Ambergate Carnival

WE ARE BACK!

After 2 years off due to the pandemic, Ambergate Carnival returns in 2022, on Saturday 9th July at the Hurt Arms field. And we are coming back in style, with our theme to celebrate all things Derbyshire – Ay Up Me Duck!

The procession is shaping up to be amazing, with floats and a new band Belper Boom, diggers, classic cars and mascots. Come and join the procession, and take part in the Fancy Dress Competition (in line with the theme) on the field after arrival of the procession.

Our headliner are the JC BALLS DANCING DIGGERS, and other arena performances will be Ferret Racing, dancing from Splitz Dance Centre and Belper Band.

In the Marquee will be performances by our favourite magician CJ Happy Wacky, and throughout the afternoon an arts workshop run by Ambergate Wireworks Project will be available for all to take part in.

Around the field will be lots of family fun, including inflatables, zorbing and kids rides, and various stalls by local charities and businesses.

The Hurt Arms will be providing the majority of the catering with food outlets and bars on the field. As usual, you will be able to get a lovely cuppa and cake in the Tea Tent and help Heage Churches raise some funds at the same time. You will be able to relax in the shade of our brand new tent listening to the Amber Band.

A family friendly after-party will be held in the Hurt Arms marquee, keep a look out for tickets which will be available soon! The party is organised by and all proceeds will go to Friends of Ambergate School and Ambergate Playgroup.
