November Press Release
Tuesday 2 December 2008
The plans for Ambergate 2009 are well underway, and so are the fundraising requirements. The piece below outlines the plans of celebrations in the lead up to Christmas
CELEBRATE CHRISTMAS WITH AMBERGATE CARNIVAL
Ambergate is getting into the festive mood with a series of fundraising events for next year's carnival.
A Christmas Fair will be held in the Methodist Schoolroom, Devonshire Street, between 11am and 2pm on Saturday 6 December. Stalls include handmade jewellery, toys including a toy exchange, DVDs and CDs, books and home baking. Attractions also include a tombola and raffle, and a competition to guess the weight of the Christmas cake.
Everyone is welcome to get into the spirit of Christmas by joining the carol singers who will be singing around the village during the evening of 6 December, ending at one of the local pubs.

Duncan Noble-Nesbitt, Ambergate Carnival Committee, said: "This year's Carnival was a great success and plans are already well underway for next year. It was great to see such a good turnout at the event in and we're hoping as many people as possible will join in the fun again over Christmas."
