YOUR CARNIVAL NEEDS YOU!
Following another fabulous carnival on the Rec this summer (despite the weather), there are some funds and the desire to have a Carnival in 2013, but not enough people to organise it.

A carnival has been held in the village for over 30 years, let’s not stop now!
AMBERGATE CARNIVAL 2013
We are delighted to announce that the date for the Ambergate Carnival 2013 will be Saturday 13th July. There will be a week- long calendar of events in the run-up to the Carnival, including a Family Sports Day on Sunday 7th July. This will include the children’s round and round races, and our Annual Dog Show.
Last year’s Carnival day was a great success again, and we received support from several local businesses,Heage and Ambergate SNT and Belper Army Cadets. We always rely on the support of volunteers before, during and after Carnival Day, and the committee would welcome more helpers and sponsorship.
The 2013 Carnival will again be held on the Recreation Ground in Ambergate as we received very positive comments from local people who attended last year, even with the addition of the Ambergate Baths. This years theme is “Music” so start planning your costumes and floats now! We are still looking for Acts and Bands for the afternoon so if you’re interested get in touch with us via our Contact Page.
