Carnival 2009 is on 11th July!

Ambergate Carnival week culminates in a spectacular Carnival day on July 11th 2009. Check out the pictures from 2008's Carnival in the Gallery, for the video's view via our Flickr page.
If you would like to get involved in Carnival 2009 drop us a line on the contact page. We need helpers on Carnival Day for tasks like marshalling. J C Balls have already shown their support by with the amazing Digger Dance Display for the day.
Plans include 'Extreme Wheels' Mobile Skate and BMX park, SkyMagic Kite Display, A fantastic group of Cheerleaders and Johnny and the Raindrops.
We have always tried to keep the Carnival a free event, but this year we would ask for a voluntary £1 entry fee per adult and that you support us by buying a £2 programme. What a bargain for such a great afternoon out!
The Theme for 2009 is Weather! Decorate your wellies, sun hats and parasols. We have taken delivery of a sea of white umbrellas for the kids from the school to decorate for the parade so it should look stunning! This year we will have a Carnival Queen and King to lead the day. Also this year, we can't believe our luck, as Bob the Builder is going to drive Scoop the Digger in the parade and then open the Carnival for us!
The fun has started already, see the links to your left for more details on the timetable and the list of performers:
