Looking forward to Carnival 2010

The date is now set for Ambergate Carnival 2010 as Saturday 10th July. The theme for 2010 will be "Circus". Visit our News page for more information and updates.

2009's event included J C Balls amazing Digger Dance Display. Also in the line up we had 'Extreme Wheels' Mobile BMX park, SkyMagic Kite Display and workshop, a fantastic group of Cheerleaders plus Johnny and the Raindrops. There were also shows by Heage Windmillers, Magical Mayhem and Cresswell Band.

The Theme for 2009 was Weather! So decorated wellies, sun hats and parasols were the order of the day. We had a sea of white umbrellas for the kids from the school to decorate for the parade so it looked stunning! This year we had a Carnival Queen and King to lead the parade which as luck would have it was a beautiful sunny day.

Bob the Builder opened the Carnival for us and then proceeded to drive a dancing digger! The fun was not just on Carnival Day, there were many other events too. See the links to your left for more details plus the timetable and the list of performers.

Next meeting for Ambergate Carnival Committee 2010 will be on Monday 15th February 2010 at 8pm at Hurt Arms Inn, A6 Ambergate.
