Exhibitors & Stall Holders

We are now taking bookings for stalls for this year’s carnival which is to be held The Hurt Arms on the 13th July 2019.

Ambergate Carnival has been held in the village of Ambergate for 30 years. The event starts, around midday, with a procession along the A6 from the Recreation Ground to the Hurt Arms where there is a main arena and music tent in which various entertainment is put on in line with the theme – this year the theme is “Dance, Dance, Dance”. Around the field we have catering stands, rides/attractions, workshops and lots of space for various stalls. We ask for all stands to be family friendly.

For the last few years attendance has been high, at about 2,000.

  • Hi, my name is Kerryn Jackson. I run a bespoke cake business called A Fools Cakes and was interested in having a stall at your event selling slices of cakes, cupcakes, cookies and possible other baked treats. My business is fully registered and insured with a 5* hygiene rating.

First of all, when exactly is the carnival this year? The website is still advertising last years carnival!
Second of all, what time is the event on from / till, and what time is set up from?
I am presuming this is an outdoor event? Do I need to bring my own tables and gazebo? Is there a pitch size limit as my gazebo is 8ftx8ft?

Also do you have any objections to me holding a small raffle at my stall? It will be selling raffle tickets through the day for the chance to win either a cake or cupcakes etc when the raffle is drawn near the end of the event.

Finally, I noticed you have a theme for each carnival, what is this years theme? I’m sure I can come up with many ways to incorporate the theme into my baking!

I look forward to hearing from you an hopefully joining you at your event!
