About This Site

This site has been set up by the Ambergate Carnival Committee to promote the annual Carnival in the village of Ambergate.

The Carnival Committee arranges events throughout the year aimed at bringing the community together. In the past this has included Quiz nights, Carol Singing, Sports Days, Village walks and band nights, as well as the Carnival Week itself. All residents of Ambergate and the surrounding areas are encouraged to take part or attend.

Our aim is to give back to the community any profits from the events. Two past examples being the funding of disabled access to the Methodist Schoolroom and a donation to the Senior Citizens lunch club. In 2014 the carnival provided the platform for Ambergate Playgroup to hold a Ceilidh (barn dance) which led to raising funds that contributed to a new floor in the methodist hall.

The committee welcomes help, contributions and feedback – and if you want take part, ask a question or make a comment, please go to our Contact Us page more information on how to.
